[2014 KOREA TRIP] Day 2: Bongeunsa (봉은사) Temple + LOTTE WORLD + GAROSUGIL (가로수길)

Hi again, guys! My Day 2 post about my trip to Korea last October is finally here! On second day, we went to Bongeunsa (봉은사) Temple, LOTTE WORLD, and GAROSUGIL (가로수길)! Check out the details about my second day trip in Korea below! ^_^

October 20th, 2014: Our 2nd day in Seoul, Korea! We had a really good night sleep. The bed was so comfortable until we didn't want to get up hohoho. Mr. Lee picked us at 9am. After breakfast at the hotel, we head out to our 1st destination today. Bongeunsa Temple! ♡
Once known as Gyeonseongsa Temple, Bongeunsa Temple is located to the north of COEX building, and was constructed in the 10th year of Shilla King Weongseong’s reign (794). In 1498, Queen Jeonghyeon refurbished Gyeonseongsa Temple at the east of King Seongjong’s royal mausoleum and renamed the temple as Bongeunsa. Originally located near the royal maulsoleum (1km southwest), the temple was transferred to its current location during Joseon King Myeongjong’s reign. ()
The temple is located in the middle of city and only took us about 10-15 minutes from our hotel to reach the location. We really enjoyed walking around the temple, although it was raining. T_T The most special thing about this temple is that we can see many modern building in the background! Isn't it amazing? ♡

Mr. Lee also told us about the history of the temple and overall we really enjoy this visit! A very good way to start a day (minus the rain) hehehe <3

Our next destination is Lotte World! We arrived about 10AM. As soon as we arrived, Mr. Lee got us our unlimited pass and told us he'll back at 5PM later. And, our adventure begin now!

Since it's still raining, we started our adventure in the indoor theme park. Before we started, we decided to buy a cute headband for ourself. HEHE. It's like a must when you go to the amusement park, right? <3 Got myself a pink ribbon headband for 10,000won. My friend also got her cute chubby polkadot ribbon headband in purple, also for 10,000won.

Our first ride was Drunken Basket. Drunken Basket is an attraction where we sit in a cup and spin around! We need to rotate the round wheel to spin faster. The faster you rotate the wheel, the faster you'll spin. It's kind of fun!

Afterwards, we rode The Adventures of Sinbad, where we rode a boat and going around underground waterway enjoying the adventure of Sinbad. And next attraction is The Conquistador, one of my favorite attraction ever! I really like it when we almost reach the ceiling and the feeling when it went down! Hah, so much fun! <3

After waiting in line for about 1-1,5 hours, we finally got to ride the Giant Loop!
Giant Loop
Fun of somersault wherein you will flip in the air along with the outside world. Enjoy the thrill of 360-degree rotation, running the circular loop with diameter of 14m! Best thrill at the top of the loop, dangling upside down! ()
Yes! It was one of our most memorable attraction. I feel like i lost my 10 years of life while on the ride. lolol. When it went backwards, i feel like my life was in danger. T_T I actually really enjoy thrilling attraction but this one is.... XD Maybe because that was my first time riding attraction with 360-degree rotation. u_u It was still a very fun ride; although i'm not sure if i'm going to ride that ever again in the future lol.

And lastly Flume Ride. This is our last attraction in the indoor park.
Enjoy the thrill of plunging into the waterfall, swept away by raging waters! Once you get on Flume Ride, your fantasy adventure will begin right away. ()

We also really enjoyed this attraction, although we were showered with water. lol. Ah, and one thing you guys need to know is that you can't leave your stuff around the attraction area in Lotte World. Like in Flume Ride, you need to bring your stuff with you on the ride.

There are plenty of locker available on Lotte World. So, don't worry! At certain attraction, Lotte World provide baskets that can be used to put your stuff. ^_^

Unfortunately, we didn't get to try all the attraction in the indoor area because the queue was too long T_T We need to queue at least 1 hour for every attraction we tried. T_T We went on Monday and it was already super crowded.

// My face after the Giant Loop ride lol //

There was a parade on Lotte World to celebrate Halloween and it was awesome! Had a chance to snap a selca with one of the performer ^_^

Before heading out to Outdoor park that called Magic Island, we decided to bought a snack hohoho. We got ourself a chicken popcorn(?) and a cola for about 4,000 won. It was so delicious! T_T Cheon Song Yi unnie was also on the packaging lol <3

// The magical Magic Castle //

And, it's time to go to Magic Island! We went out about 2PM and fortunately the rain has stopped. It's time to take some photos in front of the Magic Castle! I was about to snap some photos of this beautiful castle with my camera but suddenly it can't be turned on. T_______T Heol, i think it was broken because it was exposed to rain before at the Bongeunsa Temple.

Okay, forget about that because I still managed to take a beautiful pictures of the castle with my phone hehehe. We also took some selca using my tongsis (selca stick) that i brought from Surabaya lolol.

// Gyro Drop//

Thrill of nose-diving, starting from a height where it almost touches the sky!
The first playing facility in Korea for high-altitude, free-fall experience. You will experience the breathless fear of zero gravity for 2 seconds at the moment of falling.  ()
We were excited to try the Gyro Drop but then it turns out that most of the attraction wasn't not functioning due to the rain earlier, including Gyro Drop. /criesssss/ We were really disappointed because Gyro Drop was in our 'Must Try Attraction in Lotte World' list. lol.

As we walked around, we saw some people waiting in line for the Gyro Swing. We also decided to stand in line, and about 30-45 minutes later we finally were able to try the Gyro Swing!

When free fall meets free swing~
You can feel new kind of fear as a huge spinning vehicle, loaded with 40 people sitting around, moves like a pendulum, about to be blown away by tornado. ()

Wah, Gyro Swing was amazing and mind-blown! Our best ride in Lotte World! <3 All i can see while riding this attraction was the blue sky lol. Definitely our favorite ride! ^_^*

We head back to the indoor park to got something to eat. We decided to go for Korean Cuisine! We had lunch at the foodcourt called Arirang.

// Our late lunch: Bibimbap (비빔밥) //

Before Mr. Lee picked us at 5PM, we still managed to bought some souvenir at a shop called San Jose Emporium. I got myself a Lorry (Lotte World's Mascot) hand mirror for 7,000 won.

Afterwards, finally it's time to say goodbye to Lotte World! Thank you for the great memories, can't wait to try another attraction next time! ^___^

// With Kim Woo Bin oppa <3 //

Mr Lee drove us the Garosugil (가로수길) area after telling us how to use the Subway because we had to go home by ourself. Garosugil is a popular area for local youngster to shop and there are a lot of local designer shop and cafe. Too bad we didn't took any pictures here because we were too busy shopping hehehe.

We went around the street and without us knowing it, we already reached the Apgujeong (압구정) area lol. We had Kimbap (김밥), Odeng (오뎅), and Cheese Ramyun (치즈 라면) for our dinner!

// Our delicious dinner ^3^ //

After dinner, we went to the Subway Station and after a long walk, we finally reached our hotel! That was our first time using the subway and thanks to the map from Mr. Le, we didn't have any difficulty! Hehe. Our second day finally come to an end. See you on Day 3!
